She delved into humanity's ongoing struggle for the universal recognition of human rights, shedding light on how ancient Indian texts like the Vedas, Upanishads, and Mahabharata, dating back to 3000-1500 B.C., espouse fundamental principles such as equality and freedom.
Dr. Shashank Misra, the esteemed Principal of DLC, enlightened the audience on the origins and significance of human rights as enshrined in the United Nations Charter. He elaborated on the legal provisions outlined in the UDHR (Universal Declaration of Human Rights) and the Human Rights Act of 1993.
