On 20 May 2023, Dewan Law College arranged a unique opportunity for its Criminology and Penology students. A prison visit was organized at Chaudhary Charan Singh Jail, offering a valuable insight into the subject of prison administration.
Special permission from the jail authorities was obtained, ensuring an enriching and safe experience for the students. Esteemed D.L.C faculties, Prof. Neeraj Gupta and Prof. Maulik Sharma, led the visit, providing valuable guidance and expertise throughout.
During their visit, the students had the privilege of interacting with the inmates, gaining first-hand knowledge of their experiences and perspectives. To gather comprehensive information, the students filled out questionnaires, further deepening their understanding of the subject matter.
This prison visit aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, enabling students to grasp the intricacies of the criminal justice system and the challenges faced by those within it.
