In a Law College ,a Moot court is a simulated court or arbitration proceeding where students research , draft legal arguments , and present them orally, honing their advocacy and legal skills.Moot court is an integral aspect of life of law student and the lessons learnt by participation in moot court help the student to stand tall in the real court like scenario when they enter the profession . Dewan law college believes in the holistic development of the students not only on the academic front but also on practical aspects.Dewan Law College has a Moot Court Association ,comprising students as well as faculty members who act as mentor of the students wherein the minute details of mooting are taught to students.
The students of the D.L.C are made to interact with the practicing advocates of the Supreme Court, High courts and district courts in order to motivate them and make them understand the vital contribution which is being made to the professional life of Advocate by participation in moot court at college level.Our esteemed law college also takes initiative to provide internship to the budding lawyers for enhancing their advocacy skills. D.L.C has a seperate Moot court hall which is equipped with all the required infrastructure for conduction of moot court competition.
